New Life in Greece

God had been urging us to go to Greece for about a year saying, 'Go to Thessalonica' when we finally did, on January 10, 2004.

At that time we still didn’t know exactly what He had in store for this country, but today, 3 years later, we can share so many testimonies of His love to this people.

When we arrived in Greece, we waited for Him to tell us where to go … A bit later, we found ourselves in the home of a wonderful lady named Dimitra, which we called LIDIA…

There were 2-3 families who used to gather in her home, and now there are 50-60 people who meet there… We knew it was not only for believers, but also for the unsaved who would find God…

We found a small and poor gipsy neighborhood where we established contacts and made friends… We love them and we could see their love and attachment to us, too. We showed them God’s love and the joy of Jesus filled their lives. We are truly happy to be part of Dad's great plan for Greece…

Many travels followed, during which God made us happy with the miracles He did. Believers were encouraged, in many cities brothers and sisters opened their hearts for God’s joy and love. Some invited us to their churches where God satisfied their hunger and thirst for more of Him.

It will not be easy to change religious and traditional Greece, but we are so happy for the 'treasures' God gave us in the face of our friends from Thessalonica and Athens!

Serez

With much love in their hearts people there were waiting to share their joy with us. During one of our previous travels, Mariana prayed for a lady who had a problem pregnancy and encouraged her that the child would be a healthy and handsome boy. Now when we visited our friends again, we learned that the baby was born with heart problems that created risk for his life, and that the doctors wanted to operate him. However, the parents remembered Mariana's words and trusted God's promise.

Today, the child is alive and healthy, and he is a really handsome boy without ANY problems. He underwent no surgery - he is a joy for his parents. Glory to God!

Larissa

We visited people in their homes where we prayed and praised the Lord for His big love.

There was a woman there whose left part of the body was paralyzed after a heart attack. Mariana hugged her with the strong hug of Jesus and the woman stood up and started to praise God with tears in her eyes. She could move her hand and do things which she hadn't been able to do before! Then Zhoro shared some powerful words about the strength we find when obeying God's words and how to apply them in our lives. He started praying and God gave him prophecies about people in big awe of God.

Athens

Mariana's dream come true! She was standing on the marketplace where Apostle Paul spoke to the people of Athens and she raised her hands to the city. Then she shouted out Paul's words noted in Acts 17: 22-28, 'I see that in every way you Athenians are very religious…'

The next evening religion was thrown down. It happened in a church where pastor Zhoro shared powerful words about the Cross and that we were surrounded by many witnesses encouraging us to go on. After that dances of joy and celebration followed.

Mariana had a vision about a certain lady - she saw shoes placed before her feet, then she saw how the lady put them on and heard God saying, 'I put the shoes of Blessing in front of her' On hearing these words, the lady started turning round fast and danced with the fire of the Spirit. Finally, she fell down on the floor and started laughing loudly...

Mariana was so excited when we found 'treasures' living in the rubbish. Children surrounded Mariana as if they knew her for a long time. Mariana started talking to people about Dad's love, Zhoro encouraged them with words, and we prayed.

There was also another lady with cancer. She was depressed, but after the prayer and the powerful love of the hug we saw joy on her face. We believe God healed her and we will be really happy to hear her testimony next time we visit her.

Alexandria

We were walking on the streets of the city praising God and people started inviting us in their houses to pray and bless their homes...

A man who had had a bad accident and suffered lots of physical problems was healed and praised His name with happiness...

God gave many healings and joy...Over 80 people gave their lives to Jesus... Families were restored and people who had strayed away from God were now refilled with new fire and passion for Him. Pastor Zhoro shared words that challenged people adn they responded with change of heart.

When we visited the poorest people living in the dunghill of Athens, we did not only give them hope, but they asked us to go back there again and talk about Jesus. So we hope that God will open this door for us to encourage them again.

Icho and Natasha Badovi with their two children are faithful part of New Life Ministry - Bulgaria. They chose to follow God's call and become missionaries in Greece. Afer serving faithfully for three years, in 2007 they decided to move to Paris to secure a better future for their children. God blessed them with a good paid job, good school for the children and home for the family. However, a year later they realized God had something else for them and in January 2008 they moved back to Thessaloniki.

We believe that God's words, '...but seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.' are becoming real in their life and they will be more blessed.
We will be thankful for every prayer and support for them and our work in Greece!
